B I O G R A P H Y

Vasant was the first coatl to join the clan of the Raven Queen, gifted with a rare talent for understanding her. That is to say she tolerated his incomprehensible presence long enough for Vasant to begin deciphering her meaning through her crests and pantomime. Teaching Spinel to understand coatl--and find at least another among them that can learn to understand her--is a full-time job.

The coatl are loyal to Spinel, but many still struggle to communicate. He serves as translator for the clan. What Vasant would really like is for everyone to speak for themselves rather than having to play translator all but around the clock.
