Although both of Narcissus' parents are the artistic type, he prefers a different type of creativity. This being mechanics. His main job is to build and repair machines around the clan, from small projects such as toys for hatchlings to larger jobs, such as light fixtures or food storage. On occasion, Narcissus gets a bit eccentric with his creations... The worst, for sure, being when he created an oven with a build-in catapult that launched ever-increasing numbers of potatoes. It took weeks to clean the communal kitchen. It can be difficult to take Narcissus seriously, seeing as he has so many strange compulsions, but nonetheless, he is an incredibly intelligent dragon. Narcissus is prone to flattery when speaking to others, but it's far from flirting. He's intent on finding his life's mate, and isn't all too interested in a shallow relationship. He hopes to have a deep understanding with his partner, and is looking for someone who really intrigues him rather than a pretty face. He deeply admires lightning flight mentality, and often sneaks in to meetings the clan ambassador goes to in the area in order to consult more with those he considers to be the true pros of technological feats. He's well known in some areas of the shifting expanse due to this, and Mako, easygoing as ever, usually lets it slide. On occasion, he visits Artemis, bringing her new tools to help the wounded along with questions about her life at the shifting expanse. Unfortunately, she speaks rarely of her childhood to him, no matter how curious. She had a rough life before her journey to the Rosehaven clan, and does not wish to share. |

Even if he can be more playful, he takes his important work very seriously and does his best to complete his task on time. Now and then, however, he attempts to go above and beyond, and this can either go magnificently.... Or atrociously. Because of this, most dragons will know him well enough to specify if they're willing to see him make some unnecessary modifications. It doesn't take long for word to get around the clan with his misgivings, especially not with his mother, Alyssum, being as social as she is. Narcissus gets along well with his family, although Lobelia often scolds him for his sometimes thoughtless and impulsive actions. Alyssum is much more easygoing, praising him for his creativity and joking about his odder ideas. Often, Narcissus helps out with play production on lighting and other special effects. He gets along well with Magnolia, however shy the other dragon may be, and usually manages to get a good conversation out of him. He worked on occasion with Blossom to help with theatre production, but more often than not his creativity gets in the way of her own artistic vision. He also helps out with Beta's experiments often, and the two are fairly close. He has mechnical knowledge far beyond Beta's, and Beta often helps him in areas more requiring of magical help than mechanical. |
