Former home: The Cloudsong.
Position: Protector and apprentice of Palinourous: This Spiral acts not only as the doorman of sorts to his wizened mentor, but also his young companion. In fact, his only companion, in life.
Relationships
Parents: (Thallane & Medeni): Varda has never spoken of his parents. It's unknown if his relationship with them is favorable or not.
Siblings:
(All): It's supsected that Varda has a great many siblings, though very few of them have much more identity than just another adolescent serving the Windsinger.
Mate:(None): Varda is an abstinent sort, and for the time being, has no desire to seek out a mate. However, he'll no doubt be lovestruck someday.
Offspring:(All): Varda has no hatchlings to speak of.
Friends:
(All): Varda has nearly no dragons he would call a close friend. Even the other students he trained with are now long gone on their separate ways, and he turns his back on their absence without a second thought. There is one person close to him in his life of solitude, though: his mentor, Palinourous, is almost like a father to him.
Familiar:
(Mantled Foo): A loyal guardian who follows Varda in his day-to-day tasks and watches over the small seaside glade where they live. Though he doesn't claim to be incredibly close to his Familiar, Varda has named the creature Komainu. It is a counterpart to his mentor's Shisha.
Story
I Will Not Let You Pass into this Domain...
Years ago, Varda worked as a shopkeep boy in the Cloudsong. At some point in his life, he had questions that could not be answered by his peers, and his lot in life began to wane in importance, until it held nothing for him. He traveled, as countless youth have in the Wind flight, to seek out the legendary wizened philosopher named Palinourous.
Unlike the many who came before him, though, Varda was not an energetic child. He did not beg questions out of curiosity, nor insatiable hunger. He was an empty cup, desperately needing answers to be complete, and with all the patience in the world to hear them. So it comes as little surprise that he absorbed his new master's teachings like a canvas takes on paint. Palinourous colored this boy with wisdom, nurtured him with respect, and bestowed upon him the ability to fight.
Of the many students who had passed through Palinourous's teachings, Varda was the one who stayed: he was the one who understood that as long as he lived, his teaching would never be done, and his debt to his master would never be repaid. So the two live alone in the cliff groves, a narrow strip of land between bamboo forests and the sheer drop into the sea that borders the Windswept Plateau.
To all who wish to learn from Palinourous, there is an obstacle that must be passed: a fern-pelted Spiral who would give his life willingly for the master who raised him. The Kith was no exception, when Leonidas came across the thin path of the groves, in his own search for knowledge; they, too, met the fists and coils of a protector trained to stop all in his path.

Habits: Varda's main habit of note is acting almost nothing like a Spiral.
