One of Nari’s spies found him deep within the Beacon of the Radiant Eye’s many twisting corridors and labyrinth honeycomb structure. He was alone and when they asked if he wanted to go back to his clan he said he didn’t know the way. Not wanting to leave him alone and defenseless in the Beacon they brought him back to the Shadow Court and presented him to the spymaster. Nari was not amused or impressed by him, she had no time for children. Until Adame spoke. He told her he knew what she was thinking. Then, he proved it and told the entire Court what was going on inside their spymaster’s head. She shut him up quickly after that.

After their first encounter Nari decided he was worth something and trained him as one of her spies. She kept Adame close and fostered his empathy which was so strong it was like telepathy. She brought in dragons she knew from around Sorienth to train him to strengthen his abilities and turn him from a simple empath to an emotional manipulator.

For Nari Adame was useless as a spy. He is much too kind and sweet and gentle. He enjoys playing games, swimming and flying kites over actual work. He’s not the best liar in the world either and is too naive and soft for the secretive work of spying. He does have a hidden streak in him though. If pushed a bit, or told that they endanger the Caravan Adame can become cold and ruthless. It makes him an excellent, if unorthodox interrogator.

In an attempt to toughen him up Nari gave him to Kaley to train. Make this would-be-spy of mine more than he is, she said. So Adame was trained to fight as well as in empathetic interrogation. He’s very good at it actually but is still so soft. He couldn’t hurt a fly. He just wants to have fun and find someone to be cute with. He really doesn’t care much for Nari’s wants but he respects her greatly and looks up to her like she was his mother. He doesn’t ever mention where he came from, all he will say was that his father was mad, and he’d rather not remember. The Caravan is better and even if Nari is sort of mean sometimes he loves his home now and wants to keep it safe.
