______ Chandra is a payment fulfilled and they are very aware of their existence. Their father broke the rules. Don’t get attached, don’t get in trouble, and don’t jeopardize the Court and everything Nari had built. When you fall in love with a dragon you shouldn’t that tends to break more than a few rules and get everyone involved in trouble. So he told Nari she could have one of his children as she wanted and Chandra is that one.

______ Spending most of their life under Nari’s wing Chandra hardly remembered their own parents. They think they come by sometimes but Chandra couldn’t pick them out in a line up if they wanted. Chandra used to be sad about that but they aren’t anymore. Nari is something of a substitute and Chandra decided to just not feel those feelings because they were useless to them. Useless to who they wanted to be and what they were meant for.

______ Nari trained them to be what their father fought against. A cutting knife, a shadow in the dark. Nothing can escape Chandra’s grasp, no lock is good enough, no defenses strong enough. They’ll find a way inside and their claw is aimed at your neck. Because they don’t really feel or have much compassion it made them useless to Nari’s plans in replacing their father with them so instead she allowed Chandra to do as they wished. A stupid thing to tell a dragon who’s one purpose is to obey. So Nari told them to find a clan they’d learn something, and so they went.
