Having traveled from his birth Clan, Kai immediately saw himself drawn to Clan Spiraling Tempest. He quickly went to work in the Mechanics Subdivision, determined to bring some joy and fun to the Subdivision as he deemed them all too serious.

Kai figured the best way to do so would be to make firecrackers, fireworks and anything in relation to that. Now while his overall demeanor tends to be goofy, he takes safety seriously and anyone that wishes to use his fireworks and related items must pass muster in order to receive them.

His fireworks have also proven to be effective weapons-whether to injure, kill, blind and so forth. As a result, he will make ones specifically for either Intel or Clan Defense to use.

Kai's good nature as well as flower apparel have attracted butterflies to him during the day and at night, he can be found swarmed by moths and fireflies. Not that he's complaining! He quite likes them.

Usually once a month he'll do a fireworks show and is always determined to do new and cool things with those fireworks-but he also takes down notes on what was a crowd pleaser and what didn't pan out.

Kai hit it off with Aura at one of his shows and the two became good friends for a while before mutually deciding to become mates. They also decided to have hatchlings together. The two would eventually gain another mate in Aritimi, who was fine not having hatchlings whatsoever, preferring to help care for Kai's and Aura's hatchlings instead.
