#0003 of the Arctic Gale: Sentinel Storms Subspecies Variation

Sentinels are perhaps the rarest variation of the Gales, only appearing before major disasters generally. This variation can be found in the highest reaches of the Cloudscrape Crags or the darkest parts of the bamboo forests common in the Reedcliff Ascent. They are occasionally found within the eye of the Twisting Crescendo, though no one knows how or why they're there or how they got out of the storm.

This variation rarely has what would traditionally be thought of a lair, preferring instead small lean-to and shacks made from tree branches they've stripped down. They're continually moving thus making a traditional cave or hole in the ground rare. Some Sentinels have been known to dig out shallow depressions for themselves where they'll weather even the worst storms without complaint or feelings. They're magic is stronger than the original gales, able to produce hurricanes or blizzards on their own.

Sentinels, unlike other variations, prefer solitude and at max will travel in packs of two or three. Hatchlings are revered as they're a rare commodity though they tend to split off from their parents after a year or so together.
