Though he was born to two loving skydancers in the Frigid Floes, Kraz never truly felt like he belonged in his family. His siblings were happier following in their parents footsteps, however the young skydancer felt a calling for something more. In the darkest part of the night during a blizzard few could remember in recent years, the young skydancer struck out from the Floes heading further south into the heart of the Icefield. In time he came to the Fortress of Ends where he encountered the Icewarden and his attendants. Terrified and in awe, the young skydancer spoke to the Ancient deity, pleading for him to show him the calling he felt and to help him understand why he felt so out of place with the rest of his family. Though he cannot remember a vocal answer, the young skydancer felt the change sweep over him, leaving a small and lonely tundra when it was done.
Alone in the Fortress of Ends, the newly made Tundra sought to hide from the world. His new sense of smell was too overwhelming and now he could hear and understand the whispering of snowflakes and the twinklings of the icicles as they dripped. For a time, he settled alone until he caught the sound of snow swirling in song patterns indicating a blizzard even worse than the one that'd left him as a tundra. Convinced that nearby clans should be prepared, the young tundra set out at once, stopping every traveler and clan he met to warn of impending danger. Whether it was his desparate tone or something left from his encounter with the Icewarden, the travelers departed swiftly, returning home and shoring up the homes. The storm however would stretch far enough to hit the neighboring Windswept Plateau. Knowing the Plateau residents would be ill-equipped to handle such a storm on their own, Kraz set out at once, again taking time to warn every one he met along the road to take shelter and build up provisions. In the end, he was successful, saving many lives, though he himself was caught within the storm. Twisted and buffeted on all sides, Kraz eventually found his way to the lands of the Passus Canorous, a traveling troupe who drew him inside and allowed him to remain with them until the storm passed. During this time, the young Kraz met another young tundra named Gnosia whom he took a liking towards and decided upon the storms passing he would remain with the troupe for a time. At the present time, he works as a mason for the troupe, shoring up tunnels and staying in the more recessed areas of the clan's living quarters when there's no snow on the ground.
