As the High Shaman, Jenazah leads the clan’s rituals and funereal rites. She keeps to herself outside of these events for the most part, resting quietly in the depths of the lair, or perched up high where she can meditate. Colored cloth shrouds much of her form, each piece with its own symbolism and relevance to her, and bird skulls strung with feathers and beads are bound to her limbs. She used to act as healer for the clan, but now all she crafts is the substance burned during funerals and celebrations alike, which leaves a greenish smoke that lingers around her at times. Fortunately, there are few occasions for death rites, and most rituals that take place are to speed hatchlings on their way to the Windsinger with good fortune and long life.

Jenazah prefers solitude, which for her includes Ukungu's hulking presence almost all the time, but can be seen more often now with her remaining disciple or with Ikposa's leaders, and even sometimes with younger clan members who are interested in what she can teach them. She also spends a good deal of time with her daughter, who is now the clan's record-keeper.

The clan's spiritualism is a quiet kind of thing. Centered around birds — unusual for a wind-aligned clan, though they weren't always on the Plateau — it's not a religion, but a gentle way of life. Birds teach us that while we can easily flee and avoid, we also have the ability to rush to someone's aid, distract a foe from a place of safety, and spread new ideas and parts of ourselves wherever we go. That last... sounds a lot better the way Jenazah explains it.
