No one knows where Rosso and Eerie came from. Once nomadic wanderers, the two bounty hunters eventually settled in the Plague dominion. The high number of criminals in the country was a boon for their livelihood.
Having amassed a wealth of treasure, the two decided to settle down for awhile and take it easy. They even had plans to raise hatchlings of their own.
Before long, however, Eerie contracted an unknown disease. She insisted that she was fine, but her increasing onsets of confusion and rage proved otherwise. Still, trying to tough it out, Eerie refused to see a doctor. Where could they find one in the Scarred Wasteland anyways?
When their clutch of eggs finally hatched, things seemed to be looking up. They were happy, wealthy, and their hatchlings were spoiled. Before the hatchlings were fully grown, however, something unspeakable happened.
One of them, Forrest, began to exhibit similar symptoms to his mother; suddenly exploding into a fit of rage and lashing out at his siblings and parents. It was much worse than anything they had seen his mother do. His sheer strength and magic energy was unexpectedly overwhelming, and the damage he did was devastating.
In the end, all of Forrest's siblings had fallen, and his parents stood injured and worn down. Having taken quite a beating himself, Forrest fled the scene.

Eerie later conceded that she needed to find a doctor to aid her before she succumbed to the same fate as her son. Luckily, word had spread that there was one such master herbalist living within the same borders: Larix, the famous-- and controversial-- Nature dragon who specialized in herbs and potions to heal sickness.
Eerie and Rosso sought him out, and are now rumored to be living within the walls of Clan Vireo.



In better health, and a better environment, Rosso and Eerie tried once again to raise children. Their second clutch of hatchlings seemed much more promising, as they all grew to adolescence before exhibiting any signs of illness. Specifically, it was their son, Angel, who began to show symptoms; though very mild. Eerie, Rosso, Larix, and Botan all keep a close watch over Angel, and he is not allowed to leave the garden where Larix and Botan conduct their work.
One of Angel's siblings, Velvet, leads a completely opposite life. Healthy and full of hope, Velvet left home at a young age to pursue his destiny. Secretly though, he sought out and found Forrest, living the life of a prisoner in a faraway sea cave. He doesn't dare tell his parents where the two of them are hiding.
