The Bashful About Baker He was a nature wildclaw, as pure as they come. However, he acted very unlike one. Baker never stayed with his family long enough to imprint on them and learn their ways. He was not combative. He a very logical and wordy wildclaw. His kind would duel and fight over the smallest offense, he would apologize and make little offerings depending on the dragon. The only pride he could share would be his hunting ability, specifically of birds, he could snatch them right out of the air or right before they dived into the ocean. Another trait he kept was his style of nesting. In the residence tunnels he claimed a section that was swirled with aged and sturdy roots, he dug out a smaller tunnel hidden behind it, Even though that was frowned upon due to safety reasons. He made his own personal space, hidden from view and decorated with pretty stones and flowers, he kept them vibrant in the poorly nutriented dirt. Baker is very bashful and gets flustered easily. Any praise or flirtations from other dragons make him puff up his fur and his crest flare in embarassment, especially if they comment on his colors. Cream and Honey, it just warms your heart. But even though a fair few number of dragons could have shown interest in him, he was oblivious to it. Or, he just didn't feel it. They call him cute, but it always sounds like when you look at a baby doing silly things. So he would accept the compliments and sometimes return them, but never keep them to heart, just end his days in his little hideway with his flowers and dreams. Baker was also a clan soldier. All wildclaws would become one, it became an unwritten law after Pearlescent joined and followed suit of her mate Afterglow. Wildclaws were the most versatile. They could get anywhere fast and swiftly take down an enemy by swarming, but it wasn't really Bakers thing. He did not mind serving as a guardian in smaller senses, like escorting, babysitting, scaring things off. But he didnt like to dirty his claws in combat with the Beastclan or his fellow Claws. He accepts his role though and sticks to it in his own way.

Times had become rough, Baker and the other soldiers barely got a break. The clan had a new heir born, the sweet little Valley. But now her parents feared for her life. Baker was in charge of babysitting her, and keeping her in her tunnel unless given permission by her mother or father. Then Baker and the other would all follow her to keep her safe.
One night, he begun to feel ill and listless. He could barely focus on his duties. He stood legs quivering and eye lids growing heavily as he stood guard. Afterglow and Pearlescent were on their patrols while he protected the entrance, but illness was taking over. He slowly hobbled from the tunnel, barely aware he was leaving his post, and he flopped over in the snow mind shrouded.
When he woke again he was towered over by other residents in concern and commotion all around, Ward Glacier bounded over when there was word of his movement, her heavy steps shaking the ground.
"Baker! What happened, why were you from your post? Where is Valley?" she interrogated, almost with panic in her booming voice.
Baker shuddered and slowly tried to get up but he was still under the influence of... something. "I... I left my post? Valley?" he mumbled and tried to get his bearings. The clan healer came over to tend to him. "Glacier, I fear he is under the same effects After and Pearl are. Something has shrouded their thoughts." the pearlcatcher clarified and carefully got Baker on his back and took him from the scene.
Baker layed limply over the other, wing tips dragging in the snow. What happened? He couldn't remember.
Later, all wildclaws were informed that Valley had gone missing and the other dragons had begun a search party. However, the claws were too weak to participate themselves. Baker felt extremely guilty, he was the one on watch and now she was gone, word of a blood trail turned up and no sign of her anywhere in the Ice Fields. Fear gripped the Chieftains for the worse but they stayed hopeful for their daughter return.
