Biography

Kebechet
Egyptian Goddess of freshness and purification. She was known as the "wandering goddess" or the "lost child". She was particularly associated with embalming fluid used during mummification.

2yK0hY5.png She was born under refreshing, clean light. A type of light that could bleach the evil out of anything. The light of a goddess. Kebechet was born close to the exalted dragons of the Lightweaver, and grew up with their teachings of intelligence, wisdom, cleanliness, and power. These teachings stayed with Kebechet, even when she left the comfort of her home with the Lightweaver. There was nothing past the precious home of her goddess for Kebechet, but she wanted to see the world. Know what she was missing. She was hatched under the protection of the goddess, but that meant Kebechet came from somewhere! She had no desire in finding her parents or her home, but she wanted to see the world that was out there. She knew there were forest and seas and volcano. These things, that had originally only been pictures in books, called her. So she set out when she was young, using the teachings of self-defense she learned from the warriors.

The world outside was beautiful. Fresh. The wind against her scales, the sun on her back, the stars above her head, the earth below her. Everything was beautiful, yet she soon found herself lost. She had meant to return home, but alas, where was home? She had asked some dragons, and then was asked if she had no navigation sense. She could not see the wind like Wind dragons, she could not read the water like Water dragons. Nor could she even measure the distance of the heavenly glow of her home land from the other side of the world like those of her element. She had no powers, no natural gifts given to the elements. All she had was the desire to... clean. When she came across a mess, she had to clean it. It seemed that she traveled to where there was something to be cleaned. To preserve the freshness of the world. She worked hard in order to clean messes or to cleanse lands of any lingering darkness or spirits. Yet she still had no idea where she was. Anyone that attacked her found out the hard way that Kebechet, despite her playfulness and her horrible sense of direction, was anything but weak. Her caring nature only got her more and more friends, and a few bitter enemies.

She continued her journey, traveling everywhere she felt the desire to go. Soon, she found herself sad. Being lost in itself was an adventure, but this wasn't what she had hoped for. She wanted a home, a place she could feel comfortable at, someone she could get along with a know that she could talk to. At this point, that seemed impossible. Fate was funny, however. She had met Ra when the other dragon was wandering around, picking up trinkets and odd objects. The two hit it off almost right away. Kebechet found Ra's personality adoring. He was kind and gentle and playful. He was good at finding objects hiding in plain sight and he was always positive be it sunny or rainy. Kebechet found herself following him when she didn't feel an urge to purify.

It wasn't long before she discovered Ra's nightmares. She comforted him at night, and eventually, they had grown so close they had become mates. Together they traveled. Kebechet got used to staying up late and sleeping during the day, in order to comfort Ra when he suffered from nightmares. He would carry her during the day if she was too exhausted to walk or fly. Eventually, Kebechet woke up to a warm area and Ra's soft claw against her forehead. She had fallen ill, and in response, he sought help. He had found a clan and they agreed to let the couple stay until Kebechet was well enough to leave. Yet they never did. The clan that had given them shelter decided they would be helpful. Kebechet got to work as soon as she could, cleaning up the mess left by others and helping to purify any spirits left from the dead cared for by Osiris and Anubis. Kebechet even began to teach the hatchlings how clean up after themselves with games and prizes. She has to admit, she has a wonderful life here.
