Unnamed impulsively flew into the Moonlit Nyyt Weyr begging to be adopted. He thought it looked like the perfect place and one where his dream might be fulfilled - he wanted to become a Ridgeback and he could see there was no male Ridgeback in this weyr. Anywhere.

Moonshine scowled at him. She was furious and positive he would not be welcomed - especially as a Ridgeback. Ridgebackness was her expertise.

"You, Moonshine, would still be our one female." Wyldyrn spoke to her very calmly but seriously. "Your position at the end of the weyr is yours as long as you want it. And..." She took her voice down to a whisper. "He is rather attractive as a Ridgeback, don't you think?"

"Emberglo does like iris and mist... and mint as well." Moonshine grumbled. "Those minty spines are rather cute." Moonshine sighed. "Do as you will. I don't have to be BFF with him and I am NOT going to be a cougar."

Wyldyrn allowed the young Spiral to remain. He chose the name 'Quafftoddy', named his new familiar Tipple and started working on a breed change scroll.
