She never speaks, not so others can hear. Her words are too precious for that, too powerful. But she sings sometimes, to the clover underfoot or the tiny acorns, to the roses blooming beside the lair or to a gnarled thorn growing beside a long-forgotten road. It's not quite a song, more a gentle croon in a language older than dragons, older than even words. And sometimes the wood sings to her, from tiny saplings to mighty bent trees to even the long-dead beams that support the walls. Some hear the song in the creaks and groans, and ask her what it means. But Kriyei only smiles.

At Kaissetha's command, Kriyei fought alongside the defenders during the Twenty-Fourth Arcane Hunger Games, which brought her into direct conflict with Rhiangar several times. After the battle, however, Kriyei resumed fighting at his side as though nothing had happened. Some of her clanmates have begun wondering if Kriyei has any emotions of her own at all. As ever, though, Kriyei only answers inquiries with a mysterious smile.

She does seem to have developed a friendly rivalry with Rhian, and holds a powerful respect for both Aya and Kaissetha, so perhaps Kriyei is capable of forming bonds, at the least. Ever since Sussuri recruited her to aid Dara in shaping the Twenty-Sixth arena, though, she has developed a tendency to wander off alone for days on end. No one knows where she goes.
