The night that Nyx was hatched lay on the border between spring and summer, but the frigid temperatures of the Southern Icefield said otherwise. It seems as if the clear, bright sky and crisp midnight air of her first home became part of her. Nyx has always liked night: The peace and quiet when the other dragons are sleeping, the stars that hang reliably in the heavens, the chill that comes once the sun has set , reminding her of her home... It took the guardian quite a while to find her charge once she felt the pull of the Search, but she eventually figured out that it was the somewhat abstract idea of the peace of nighttime. As a result of this she took up the job of being the night guard of Stahli's clan, the last clan she came upon in her Search. When Rafae goes to sleep, Nyx takes her place and watches over the lair until sunrise. She is a quiet, stoic dragon who doesn't say much.

Shortly before Nyx came to the clan, and imperial by the name of Cassiopeia had arrived. She was deeply interested in the night sky and began to sit outside with Nyx while she gazed through her many strange gadgets from Arcane territory. A friendship slowly grew between them, which then evolved into a relationship. Every night is date night for them, although instead of going out to dinner they ponder the wonders of the universe and enjoy the night together.(WIP)
