 Eldest child of her mother's first brood, she has taken to potion making. She takes the ingredients her mother gives her and turns them into goo, sludge, muck, and slime. Due to her role in the clan, she's especially dismissive of beasts and has no remorse when she throws them in the pot. Her mother has to make sure beforehand that the beast is not rare or a friend of the family or Alexi will throw it in to make ingredients for her brew, leading to loss of treasure or a lost friendship. Still, her dedication leads to handsome rewards for her clan, so Lyssa often looks the other way when Alexi makes a callous mistake.

Her mate Ollivander is no help in these matters as he is not quick to disagree with Alexi. He is soft hearted and does his best to keep her happy often splitting his time between his studies and keeping her company. Since her work is so demanding, they have learned to live their lives as best they can in small time increments before the cauldron beckons her again. He does not mind though as it gives him plenty of time to read.

When she is not with Ollivander or working on a potion, she is with her sister, Calypso. They enjoy partaking in witty banter and fanciful storytelling. Having the burden of remembering, she worries Calypso will one day wish to retire and join the Arcanist with the other forgotten and makes the time to stay with her if only for a little while. Sometimes though, Alexi will lose track of time and stay with her sister well into the morning and have to run back to the cauldron to start another recipe before she gets behind on her work. When this happens, she can always hear Calypso cackling as if she planned her sister's misfortune all along. Alexi always forgives her, giver or take a few days.
