Donalbain chuckled and went back to fixing up his latest creation. A small robot capable of infiltrating the most tightly locked down spaces. Who knows where the order came from, but the challenge, that is the thing that matters to him.

Love and labor, both offers him the same thing. Excitement. Resistance. A chance to conquer, to wrack his brain for the smartest and most efficient solution. The robot sparked under him.

Was he close? No, judging from the smell... Yes, he was right. Another failure. Well, Donalbain wasn't one to give up.

He looks at the bundle of scraggly weeds sitting on his desk. Walter doesn't give easily either.

Beautiful memories, those times were. The two of them. Back when Walter gave his voice to other dragons as well, not just his animals. Well, he had given that up. For Walter, but he doesn't have to know that.

A challenge he couldn't rise to. His first failure. Donalbain gritted his teeth and got back to work. He will conquer this robot, make it better, faster, stronger than before, and then he'll go back and face that old shame head on.
