Chocoll was one of the first few hatchlings that found their way to the Clan, and thus being one of the most respected. As a little Tundra from the Cloudscrape Crags, he, at first, had a hard time getting used to the almost never-varying sunlight of the Sunbeam Ruins. As time went on, however, he quickly found he loved the fountain of knowledge that seemed to sprout everywhere, delving into all kinds of books for hours on end, and was thus given the job of tending to the Library of Ventures, Clan Paladin's exclusive library. Having grown with complete respect for Galiwyth and Milithinal, he grew into a tough Tundra that found respect and knowledge came before anything else, but after meeting Atlas, his cold exterior worn, revealing his caring and kind side.

It came as a huge shock to Chocoll when he found out about the hatchlings, Ace and Saurie, which were produced from the union of Atlas, his beloved, and Astraea. Though he felt a bit betrayed at the beginning, avoiding both the Nocturne and the other Tundra for a week, through Atlas' and Astraea's deep apologies, he finally decided to let it go. When the two little Tundra's were first hatched, Chocoll fell in love with the little girl, Saurie. After discussing with Astraea, they all agreed that the two Tundras would take care of little Saurie, while Ace decided almost instantaneously that he wanted to go explore the world, and it later came as a tragedy of new of his death. Chocoll quickly became very protective of his adopted daughter, and he couldn't be more proud as she grew very close to him, making a very proud parent of his little girl and his deep relationship with Atlas.

Illegible Torn Letter

It was an unexpected turn of events that got the otherwise heterosexual Tundra to fall in love with Atlas, the charismatic and laid back Wind Dragon. Chocoll was tending to the Library as he normally did, enjoying the quiet since the other Dragons that normally visited the Library such as Felix were all out that day. He was just reading casually when Atlas walked, and only passingly glancing at the multi-colored Tundra, decided that he only just wandered in by his bored look. Not to his surprise, the Wind Dragon flipped through a few pages of various books before carelessly putting them back onto the shelves, and it began to annoy the librarian so that he couldn't concentrate on the documents at hand. When he looked up to tell Atlas to either take a book or just leave, he was surprised to find him sitting in front of his desk, leaning over in a mildly interested look. Chocoll decided to ignore him as the Wind Dragon began to pester him with half-hearted questions.

Since then, almost every day, Chocoll found that Atlas come spend a few hours in the Library, usually it seemed to just bug him. Eventually, he became such a daily occurrence that on the days he didn't come, the Ice Dragon would find himself unawaringly missing the Wind Dragon. When he was sick, he was surprised when Atlas came and spent the entire time by his side, and over time Chocoll began to feel a certain warmth whenever he was around the other Tundra, and it wasn't like the warmth he felt from Milithinal's care. Finally, one day Chocoll got the surprise of his life when Atlas suddenly confessed, and at that point Chocoll couldn't think about being in the Library by himself without the Wind Dragon by his side.

In Loving Memory: Saurie

When Chocoll heard the news that Saurie had passed, he was devastated. He immediately rushed over to find the fallen Tundra laying peacefully on the ground with Atlas, Astraea, and all of the other Clan members nearby. When Ratchet checked on her, he couldn't determine the cause of death but guessed it was due to some type of poisoning. Chocoll of course ignored the doctor as he cried over the loss of his beloved adopted child. It was the days following her death that he noticed the complete change in Atlas' demeanor; the once cheerful Tundra became serious and overly somber. Not being able to take it anymore, Chocoll confronted Atlas on the matter, only to find his dearest partner is all but broken over the loss of his beloved daughter. Overcome with feeling for his beloved, Chocoll spent the next several days with Atlas, doing everything he can to lift his mood. Chocoll also explained Atlas' suffering to the Seven Major Protectors, and, by telling the rest of the Clan without Atlas' knowledge, they all agreed to do whatever in their power to help the Tundra. It worked, as Atlas slowly came back to his old charismatic self, but Chocoll knew that deep within the pain from the loss still lingered...

I've found a new appreciation for piebald/paint recently, and this fellow show cases both genes very well. The extra white from the genes give him a softer look, and the outfit frames this very well. The blue from the robe and the accent go against the brown very well, giving this dragon an overall cozy winter vibe. I also love the spectacles. There's something charming about a dragon with spectacle.
