Aakesh is a quiet, regal Imperial, who is often looked to by his fellows as a leader. With his noble mannerisms and the dignified way in which he always holds himself and acts, most dragons in the clan assume that he descended from royalty, and he is often awarded prime food, apparel, and lair space because of this. Through the help of several of the Faes, he makes certain that all of it is redistributed fairly. Aakesh spends as much time as he can spare with the hatchlings, and if they catch him in a wistful mood (or if he is confronted with the full force of ten sad, pouting hatchlings) he will tell them stories from his youth. It's a popular debate within the clan as to whether or not Aakesh's stories are true, and he lets them be-there is only one other in the clan who can verify his truth, and he doesn't care enough to request it.
He had, in fact, ruled a small kingdom many, many years ago, deep within the Shifting Expanse, and he had known many other rulers similar to himself. It was on a diplomatic mission to the Windswept Plateau when he met Panacea, a mere scribe at the time. They were seated together by their host, who seemed to find great humor in sitting a noble next to what he viewed as a lesser dragon, but Aakesh found the Fae to be an excellent conversation partner. He soon learned that the Fae was named Panacea, and that while he was working as a scribe, he aspired to be a healer, having an innate talent for the healing arts.
