This was not good. Nightfall would want to know about this. She clung to the believe, that it was Mother’s touch causing his sickness; something that would only make him stronger in the end. Like it always had. Bak’s reflection grinned up at him. There was this knowing expressing on its face, Bak didn’t believe he had as he felt it crawling inside him again. He doubted that those were Mother’s claws at work under his skin.
