Theme: Upside Down

As the adopted child of Solaya, a major Historian, she absolutely loves to be with the Fae when she goes out on historical expeditions. The little Spiral absolutely adores the Fae, and she's very grateful for her adoptive Clan. She enjoys hearing about all kinds of History, and strives to be one to help Solaya and the other Historians in the Clan. Emmy is the adopted child of Solaya, the Clan's main Historian, with an extraordinary ability. She was found one day when Solaya and Milithinal, one of the Clan's Leaders, were flying back to the Lair after having been sent out on Scavenging duty. They were chatting as they carried their bundles when Milithinal happened to spy a small, blue-ish gray blob thing on the ground near the Cliffside. When the two went to investigate, they were both stunned to find that it was in fact an unusually small, hatchling Spiral Dragon, all coiled up tightly, shivering fiercely. It was soon discovered that the Spiral has a terrible fever, and it was quickly decided they were going to bring her back with them. She was so small in fact, Solaya, being a moderately normal sized Fae, had no trouble carrying her back to the Clan. When they got back, Aurora, the Clan's Medic, was very much in a bustle as she took the tiny Spiral and got her set up in a cozy Fae-sized bed. She worked very hard as the little girl's fever seemed to not go away, and all the Dragons were incredibly worried for her life. Finally, at dawn, Aurora came out with the good news that the little one's fever had broke and she should be fine given some rest. The Dragons were ecstatic, particularly Solaya. When the Spiral awoke, Solaya spent much of her time with the hatchling, wondering where she came from and why she was there all alone. At first the hatchling was too nervous to reply, but Solaya's kind demeanor eventually calmed the Spiral, enticing her to speak. If was quickly found that the hatchling was separated from her parents, and due to her small size, she's been alone ever since, not being able to go back. As days went on, it was clear the Spiral was keeping a secret, but Solaya couldn't figure out what and never pushed for an answer. After about a week, the Spiral seemed so uncomfortable keeping her secret that she finally all blurted it out to the kindly Fae. It turns out that the hatchling had a rare condition that made Dragons young and immortal, and they are called Infinity Dragons. The poor Spiral was very much alone as being the only Infinity Dragon she's found, and apologized greatly for lying. But instead of being upset, Solaya comforted the hatchling, and asked if she would like to stay and be her cute little daughter. After Solaya passed away during the fire of the archives, Emmy became... detached. She stopped interacting with everyone, withdrawing into herself. Everyone, of course, was worried for her; what were they to do with the Infinity Dragon with whom became her mother in almost every since of the word gone? They tried everything they could to coax her out of her gloomy shell, but no matter what they did, nothing seemed to work, and she just became less and less.

Weeks following the event, Atlas was the one to finally catch her interest. He, too, was grieving deeply over his own loss, the loss of his only child. Emmy had wandered off in the middle of the night - she rarely slept during those dark days, fearful of the nightmares that plagued her - when she found the usually charismatic Tundra crying in one of the gardens. When she asked him what was wrong, at first he was reluctant to lay down his burdens, but she simply described that she, too, was sad, but just couldn't find it in her too cry anymore. Atlas broke down and told her then, and, being the far too kind girl she was, Emmy left, and he seemed surprised when she returned, this time holding a flower crown. Gently placing it on top of his head, she wrapped herself around him with her little body in a tender hug, saying how this was how Solaya used to comfort her, so she would comfort him, instead. Atlas, overwhelmed, broke down and they cried each other to sleep.

Following that, they quickly grew closer together, and Chocoll, who already knew Emmy was a sweet girl, also grew closer with her through Atlas' influence and her own sweet and innocent nature. One day, months after the event that shattered her world, she was absolutely stunned when both Atlas and Chocoll asked if they could be her new parents, her new Papa and Daddy.

In response, she hugged both of them, and there, in their arms, she finally felt safe and content for the first time in a very long time. Since then, she rarely strayed from their sides, promising herself to make sure that her new parents were safe and happy. It was the least she could do for the ones who made her feel happy herself.
