Description:
Tamarind is big, jolly nature dragon who felt a calling to Wind. He and Tarragon instantly clicked over their love of flowers when they first met, and along with Moraine and Zaffre, helped to found the Florabrisa clan.

Tamarind's charge is the native flora of the Windswept Plateau, and he's traveled throughout the territory, documenting species in journals in as much detail as he can. When his friend Tarragon started the garden that would eventually become Florabrisa, he took special interest in taking care of it, especially while Tarragon was absent. He still works hard to keep the plants in the lair flourishing, and can often be found laying down near the flowers. With his size, he also frequently helps with building and is an experienced landscaper, terraforming the lair. He's often in high spirits, and loves a good dad joke (which is all dad jokes.)

Throughout his life, Tamarind's been a bit dependent on being in relationships and has a very long list of exes. He always hoped he would find the "One" and would try to rush things along, inevitably pushing his partners away.

Years before Florabrisa, he was mated to Pitohui and had two children with her - Cinnyris and Chrysaora - but soon after, Pitohui fled to Shadow, taking their kids with her. A few years later, Tamarind met Tarragon and they had a short relationship that ended amicably. Tarragon eventually introduced him to Zaffre, and within a year Tamarind and Zaffre were married and having eggs. It was around this time they founded Florabrisa.

He and Zaffre have since divorced. Though still a bit awkward around each other, they act professional and keep the clan's best interests in mind when they have to meet for clan politics.

More exes of Tamarind's who reside in Florabrisa include Brightsoul, Hallow, Colada, Pogonip, Festivity, Gelibol, Credo, and Par. All of his exes (minus Tarragon) occasionally meet up to trash talk ol' Tam.

He is currently in a poly relationship with Gator, Psoron, and Orahov.

Father of Pelagos and Cinnyris. His friends can call him Tam or Tammy.

Favorites:
True to his origins, Tamarind is large fan of plant life and natural geography. With his size and skill set, he made for an excellent landscaper and enjoys meticulously arranging environmental elements and planning land use. He loves spending time outdoors and can often be found relaxing out in the sun in the gardens.

He's very fond of butterflies and collects knickknacks related to them. Tamarind is known for his raucous sense of humor with a love of cheesy jokes and puns. He fancies himself a food connoisseur and enjoys trying whatever new culinary combinations Moraine, Ricotta, or Siciliane cook up.

Appearance:
Tamarind is little short for a guardian, but he's very bulky, with immense wings, muscly shoulders and a very large belly. He has a soft, sweet face that tends to make him look a little younger than he is and he keeps his orange and green beard in a long braid. The spines along his back are small and rounded. He has a natural, soil-like scent that he sometimes masks with perfumes.

He has a more rustic fashion sense, often wearing denim or flannels if not just in simple wraps that are easy to change when he gets too dirty for his work. For fancier occasions, he doesn't shy away from elaborately decorated gowns taken right from nature goddess lookbooks. He's very proud of his heritage!

Quirks about the dragon above you thread post

Feels like tree bark! Some parts of him are more rough than others. His wings seem to be coated in the very leaves of his gladeboughs, which happen to be nice and soft and smooth in great numbers. Alone, one leaf is kind of pointy, but packed together it's like petting a hedgehog I think? Decently soft.
