Hobbes The Strange Shopkeeper / Merchant 
Hobbes is one of the clan founders, and the import merchant, who resides and sells his wares in Clan Ethermist. Most of the other dragons in Clan Ethermist don't really know how to feel about this eccentric coatl. Even though he never has a temper, is sarcastic, and always keeps his cool, this behavior makes him feel almost emotionless. Hobbes's eloquent, articulate voice and disgustingly marvelous word choice when he describes his wares feels almost hypnotic. The fact that he sells his stock so well causes other dragons to feel distrust towards him, though Spice doesn't understand what everyone's concerns are. Hobbes love for feline familiars, especially his Golden Bantam Fanger, makes him appear as a villainous schemer. |

The strangest part of this eerie fellow is how nobody knows about his personal life, or where he even came from. Not even Spice or Nope, the ones who first met Hobbes, know where he came from or much about him. All that Spice and Nope remember is this dragon approaching them, wondering if they were in fact the new clan founders. Nope does find his knowledge suspicious to this day, but Spice shrugged it off. Ever since, Hobbes has been taking weekly trips to the Marketplace and Auction House of Sornieth, trading stock, then bringing his wares back to Clan Ethermist for his store. |
