Biography
There is a veritable maze down here in the larger cracks, when I sneak closer to the breach. I find dropped treasures, like foraging under the biggest sofa cushion in the world. Dragons and beastclan have dropped all kinds of things! I make forts out of rocks and tattered, rotting blankets. It smells musky and abandoned. So many cool finds. I don't keep track of it all, but it is endlessly entertaining to find and play with this litter.
I guess you could say I'm head scavenger. I'm the most thorough, but they relegated Typhoon to remind me to bring the better things back to the lair. Haha, he's more forgetful than I am! But we have great fun together. Other dragons felt they had more important things to do. Ha! Well we've found so many bottles of bones, I've started to wonder who's bottling all these bones. So we ventured deeper into the breach, Typhoon and I, glad to be on a REAL ADVENTURE of discovery! I kept a pack to make it easier to carry the good stuff back home. As we delved deeper, I smelled something acrid. Something nasty. That's when I saw Onyx Arc bent over a giant pot, dropping in animals! The pot would simmer and steam for half an hour, then Onyx Arc would sift out the bones, drop them in a bottle, and scrape a metallic substance from the sides. I've never seen something so evil in my life! How can we allow such cruelty within our lair? We begged Onyx to stop, and she was surprised to see us there. She took up one of the shiny globs that used to be a creature and held it before us. "Look carefully. It is still alive," she told me. "Yes, still alive. Good, see?" "That's even worse!" I cried. Typhoon, who had hid under my wing, burst out. "You need to stop!" "But! No. No, see, I can make many wonderful things with this. I can make another animal. I can make, ah, a fur coat, like the one Sholeh is wearing. I made that," Onyx told us. I felt a sudden horror and shame. Then four living globs with smiling faces gathered around at Onyx's feet. The peeped and giggled and carried on. They were familiars, still wary, but comfortable enough around their creator. This was too much! Typhoon and me, we hurried back home. So glad were we to be away from that terrible place that we almost forgot to hand over the scavenged goods. |
