______ Heimdall was first anointed by the High Queen to oversee all matters regarding him and those alike him - gembonded, triple colored, imperial. The gold was wise and regal, tolerated no nonsense, and easily kept a level head. He had no tolerance for ignorance, stupidity or weakness. If a dragon held these qualities but possessed the hide sprouting with gems, he would find their strengths and build on those, patiently hammering out all negative behavior. If they did not, though... another, much crueler fate awaited them. Along with his perfectionist behavior, he was often aloof and icy. After all, he did hail from an Ice clan.

______ Despite his numerous suitors, each one pining for his shimmering golden hide, Heimdall could care less for mating. Thus far, the High Queen forced all of his children away, except one daughter - Nymeria. She is his prized possession, the only gem that truly matters to him. Heimdall has not forgotten nor forgiven, however, that his daughter was originally meant as a gift to a massive Ice clan and was only permitted to stay when said clan declined the offer.

By dutifully following each order tasked to him, Heimdall ascended the political ladder, gaining much favor in the queen's eyes. She eventually appointed him King Regent, as it would leave the irresponsible leader time to count her gold pieces instead of actually ruling over her ever-growing brood.

______ Heimdall did not reach success through luck, though. He fought his way to the top with an assortment of weapons: a silver tongue, a golden coin, an iron claw. Heimdall's wit is sharper than any of the clan. Between he and his ambitious daughter, it will not be soon before they overthrow the neglectful queen, and replace all her brood with dragons like themselves. Already Heimdall has convinced Arx to send away not only her own daughter - an obvious threat to his or Nymeria's chances at the throne - but members of her ever-trustworthy council, such as her companion Rhaedon. The imperials like Heimdall and Nymeria - gembonded, triple-colored - have switched their allegiances in favor of the gold. Heimdall plots behind closed doors, waiting for the ideal time to finally rid himself of the so-called High Queen, and appoint his daughter as the new queen, and enjoy a life of quiet retirement as but a counselor for Nymeria.

B I O G R A P H Y

______ After Arx's downfall, Heimdall rose to the throne, claiming it for himself to restore order. He had orchestrated his old acquaintance's demise, ambushing the corrupt queen in the night, using her own guards against her. He spared her life, however, sending the obsidian to a faraway island in the Icefields. He permitted a select few of her brood to stay, but many were exiled or killed in the ensuing chaos.

______ Under Heimdall's calm, but stern rule, the imperials thrived. More and more were brought into the clan, filling the caverns with shining, gembonded imperials. The lesser breeds may not have enjoyed a relaxed life as they did under Arx, but they survived nonetheless. Heimdall rules efficiently, holding the throne until he belives his daughter is ready to be crowned queen. He sits among his throne, gems glistening,
his scarred face never showing any emotion beyond disgust for the lesser dragons. To Heimdall, the gems are a blessing. Any imperial with the matching colors and gems is treasured by the clan, believed to be above other races, even other imperials.

______ The golden imperial did not come out unscathed from his war with Arx. The crazed queen managed to lash out with a claw and scar his face, the pale mark forever a reminder of the old monarch, who bore a similar scar. He now spends his days, when not ruling, among his gembonded acquaintances. He is close with his guards, Boethiah and Sithis, as well as the nest guardian Ragnarok and scholar Jaehaerys.
Friend or not, all dragons of the clan hold a certain respect for their grand imperial king.
