As she looked around her, the young guardian could hear the waves of the sea in the distance. The young guardian groaned in pain. 'Where am I?' She thought. Soon her nose began to sting, rousing her mind. 'What is that smell?' The scent vaguely reminded her of a visiting fire dragon. Groggily, she forced her screaming muscles to aid in standing. Readying her wings she prepared to explode into flight until a dark shape caught her eye. The guardian froze, and the memories and emotions of previous events brust forth like a flood.
As the dragon stared upwards, plumes of smoke permeated the air. Shouts in the distance caused the guardian to quickly shrink and crouch behind a rather large formation of chalcedony. She'd read before about the advancing strength of Beastclans, that they were beginning to retake land from unsuspecting dragon clans, and yet one never expects a disaster to hit them.
Cradling her head in her forelegs, the golden dragon shuddered as waves of nausea wracked her. The reality of what had happened was far too much to process and for now, she needed to focus on staying alive-the Beastclanners would likely send out sweepers to make sure of their work.
Choking on a howl of grief, the guardian gradually set herself to the long and arduous task of raising herself from the ground-and subsequent survival. As she took one last look at the all-too-clear hints destruction wrought in the wake of her former life, the raw emotion threatened to engulf her.
Claws gripped the ground with rock-crushing strength, and the young dragon swore; "I don't care... I dont. care. how long it takes, or what it takes... but all of you vile excuses for beasts will know and suffer my grief... You will know, and I will remember..."
