Silabus

Silabus never got to know his parents. He could vaguely recall faces until they were replaced by the faces of dragons who plagued his childhood. He grew up in an orphanage. Although Silabus wouldn't quite call the place he used to live in an 'orphanage'. The dragons who raised him took unwanted hatchlings only to sell them to afterwards. He constantly went hungry and when he tried to persuade the adults to at least give more food to the younger hatchlings, he was met with bodily harm. If it weren't for his friend, Thayn, and the three other hatchlings they decided to look after, he wasn't sure how much long he could have lasted in that abysmal place. Until a Skydancer that resembled a tree full of pink petals rescued and took the lot of them under her wings. Silabus doesn't think he could ever put into words how much she meant to him, probably would never be able to tell her the extent of it. But he would always be grateful towards her. For what she did for him, and the others she rescued. |

Staying with her in the clan she settled in, Silabus helped her with the nursery and daycare. He loved looking after the small ones; he always looked forward to teaching and playing with the hatchlings within the clan. It was fairly easy for Silabus to commit himself to child-rearing. Silabus would make sure his past didn't happen to any other hatchlings, if he could help it.

Silabus is kind-hearted. He's also stubborn to a fault. He doesn't stand down if he sees anyone being unfairly attacked or bullied. If possible, he always tries to resolve a situation without violence but, if it comes down to defending himself or someone he is protecting, Silabus will fight. He can also be a bit manipulative but he would insist it was just his charm. Silabus simply has a way with words and knows how to read a situation. (Thayn is usually the one who calls him manipulative and that's mostly because Silabus is very good at charming [read:manipulating] him). |
