Being a Blizzard wasn't always easy, but she had her mate, Ullr by her side.
After being initially found and taken in by Saga, Syn became quite attached and is rarely too far away from the little fae. The two spend hours pouring over books together, researching and documenting Syn's odd condition and life.
Saga is almost like a parent to her, even, as she was the one that took the time to teach Syn how to communicate with other dragons and how to behave and how to become more confident in herself. How to let go of the crushing sadness and despair that had initially created her. And though that very sadness and despair will never leave her fully, Syn learned what happiness was through Saga's guidance and patience.
Her first days were filled with confusion and anxiety as she made her way down from the Fortress of Ends and to the deserted, freezing plains of the Southern Icefields. Her new home - her new world, her new everything.
____When she finally found her place in Valhall, they studied her and with her help, created a number of volumes on her and her odd creation. Despite not knowing why she was created, she felt peace at knowing she had been able to do contribute something to the world around her. To add something instead of sit invisible on the sidelines. And she would. Syn would not leave the world without having enriched it somehow.
____And it left her with extensive knowledge of the Icefields, it's hidden treasures and pathways and what was worth seeing. After some time, she started offering tours for their traveling companion around the area and it quickly became a success. Syn's tours included some of the most obscure, but beautiful locations and she showed dragons things beyond their wildest imagination.
____Her tours, that she runs with her mate, has given travelers and permanent residents alike life-changing trips. She's brought them up to the Fortress of Ends when the weather allowed it, letting them view the Icewarden's residence with their own eyes, and taken them to obscure caves and strange natural phenomenon spread through the frigid lands.

Before Syn, there was nothing. She was the first of them, the original abnormality, and it was then the myths began. At first it was a random sighting, someone claiming they'd seen odd shapes in the sky, and then there was a miraculous helping entity dragging a lost dragon back home. One thing after another, one strange thing after the next, but no one really believed the stories about the strange creatures hiding in the harsh winds on the mountains. Until she left the mountains. And did it not change everything? No longer was the Fortress simply a place of eternal damnation and death, but a place that created life, clearly harbouring mysteries they'd never before considered or realized could exist. It took no more than a fortnight for a new, thick book to be added to the Bibliotheca-- the Blizzards of the South. And more would come with time. The longing that had once brought Syn forth guided her hand onwards, too, and she took up residence with the dragons of Valhall. It was they that took her in, when she first emerged from the mountain, and they that showed her what it was like to belong. Whose longing it was she never did find out, but as awareness settled in her fragile body she could almost taste the bitter feeling echoing through her entire being. She knew that the dragon whose emotions had brought her forth left the world as she entered- one soul for another, the Veil taking as much as it ever gave. | __ |
