He originated from a light clan that valued the knowledge of items an the past they held. After mastering his ability to appraise items on their age and possible worth, he has taken up the hobby of jewellery making. Often using the gems that he acquires as payment for his services. Many of his pieces go to his mate Lachesis so that she may add them to her clock masterpieces.

*the ridgeback was hunched over a table of many different pieces of jewelry when the visitor wanders into his workshop. His mate is not far away, working on one of her clockwork contraptions.* *the room is lined with many shelves, each filled to bursting with tools, jewelry and odd trinkets. The floor has small metal shavings littering the thick wooden planks, a warm light filling the room from the glittering lanterns in the corners of the room. The air is thick, as if it hadn't been aired out in some time, which made sense, the workshop lacked windows and was located within the labyrinth of corridors that filled the castle.* Hmm? *the ridgeback glances over to the visitor and gives a toothy smile,* Why hello there! *he spins around and shakes the paw of the visitor* Welcome, welcome. My name is Helios, my mate Lachesis is just over there. *the guardian nods to the visitor before going back to work.* I am an appraiser and craftsman by trade. I try my claw at jewellery making when I'm not busy with my appraisals. *he lets go of the visitor's paw and gestures to his workshop* You are free to look around, I believe that objects are made to be viewed, to be valued and appreciated for their skill and beauty. *he smiles, in the generally pleased kind of way.* If you have any questions I am always willing to give knowledge to those who are curious. *he gestures to the guardian* Maybe my mate can entertain your curiosity for a bit. Don't talk too loudly though. She tends to jump. *he chuckles to himself as he goes back to work*
