hemlock loves to grow flowers. oleander. lily of the valley. nightshade. and of course, her namesake. hemlock also likes to share these flowers with others; she makes poisons. but of course, she doesn't advertise them as poisons. no, she sells potions.

due to an experience many years ago, hemlock is not fond of those who use arcane magic. she believes the world provides all the magic you need, and to use anything else is simply unethical. she feels that, when people resort to magic to solve their problems, they become blind to the world. they become selfish, and greedy. her - and those who sell 'legitimate' potions - what are they really selling but lies?

besides, her business model is honest. no one ever asks if she sells poisons. no one ever seems to care. all she has to say is that this will 'take care of their problems' and make them 'go away'. it really doesn't concern her what you're buying the potions for. and it seems, it doesn't really concern anyone else to be critical of what magic they're actually buying. is that really her fault? a lesson learned is worth more than any spell in the world!

she is going blind, and sees in mostly shapes and shadows. how dangerous could a little old blind imperial witch be?
