Theme "The moment you walked in the room, my friend The demons, they all went away Be careful, they're only asleep for a while Pretending there's nothing to say Throw salt in all the corners here Make sure you watch him leave Build up the walls around this house And dig out the rot in the floor Block out the entrance with brick and stone And mortar that's made from coal Crawl into this hole I've made Transform these feelings of fear" Spotify Playlist Art by LaughingZuru (Original lore written by Quis) Siali knew there was going to be a problem even before the news-flyers could bring word that the enemy had hired new help. He felt it in his marrow even as he sat and ate his dinner. Something new was pulling at him, something big, sipping power out of him like grains of sand trickling through tight fingers. So when he went to see the Commander and heard everyine already buzzing about 'the White Wall,' 'the Iceheart Witch,' and 'the Living Blizzard' he wasn't surprised. "So they hired an Ice-mage Imperial to fight our Ice army?" He shook his head. "Well, chief, it sounds like it's better for everyone if I stay out of this fight." "What!" The commander whipped her head around on Siali. "You're our secret weapon! We need you now more than ever! Why would you stay behind?" Siali tried not to let her see him cringe- partly at the intimidating sight of an angry, wings flared, whiteout eyed Guardian snarling down at him, but more because of the sinking feeling in his stomach. He forced his best attempt at a smile instead. "Ah, yes, you might remember what we spoke about when you first hired me? My being here makes your whole Ice army stronger, but if we face any enemies who also share our element, they'll benefit from me being nearby as well." The Commander scoffed. "Rubbish. We'll be fine. Just don't let the enemy draw power from you like we do." "That's... with all respect, ma'am, that's my point. I can't control that." "Of course you can!" She nudged him on the shoulder, a surprisingly gentle touch from such a behemoth. "It's well and good to be humble, Siali, but this isn't the time. With all the strength you've shown in these last battles we've had together, you're obviously more powerful than you realize. I'm sure you can exersize your willpower and restrain yourself to only granting help to our side." "I appreciate the vote of confidence, Commander, but I really-" She dipped her head low, quick as a snake, fixing him with one of her pale eyes. The look she gave him would have sent his heart skipping a beat like a scared rabbit even if her head and neck alone hadn't been the size of his whole body. "That's enough. You'll rein yourself in and join us in the next battle, and if you refuse I will consider it the act of a traitor. You will enjoy the victory or suffer the loss along with the rest of us. That should motivate you to get yourself under control, hm?" Siali bowed his head, his mouth gone dry. "Yes ma'am." "Very good. We march at dawn." He slipped away that night, quiet as a snowdrift, holding his breath in fear that someone would spot him. He had to get away before the battle tomorrow, he knew that much, but then what? How far would he have to run to be safe from the Commander finding him again, looking for revenge? (Bio continuation by PJade) For a dragon trying his best to run as far away from the battlefield as possible, it's quite ironic that Siali ended up in the middle of a rebellion. When the skydancer first chanced upon the clan, he wasn't really looking to befriend anyone; his experiences had given him bad anxiety and paranoia, and he wasn't really in the mood to socialise anyway. He was only there to get some sleep, gather some supplies, and begin his travels as he had done many times before. Instead of meeting the other clan members, Siali spent the first few nights alone by Floe's observatory, simply gazing up at the stars and clearing his mind. Sure, he was grateful to everyone in the relatively small warrior clan for giving him shelter and protection, but he really just wanted his own space. Well, until one night, when he bumped into his dream guy right there under the starry sky. As the skydancer had seemed incredibly adamant about eventually packing up and leaving the clan, a lot of dragons are very confused about why he never actually ended up going anywhere. Now roommates with Phantom, Siali seems to spend most of his time in the mirror's lair, doing nothing much in particular really. Siali couldn't think of a better life; in the small, undeveloped "band studio", the troubled skydancer actually feels safe and secure, especially when surrounded by the few friends he has made during his time in the clan. Completely detached from what is happening between the Monarchy and the Uprising, he has decided to live a completely pacifistic life, far away from the path of the warrior he had followed before. Instead, he is perfectly happy looking up at the stars with Phantom by his side. Well, apart from when Floe is there with them. My god does he get jealous. Other members of Thanatos: -Phantom -Sylvia -Shiji Trivia: - Nervous. Will jump in shock at the slightest of sounds -Actual Stoner Dragon (C) -gay as heck -Has a huge crush on Phantom but knows it wouldn't work out -they hang out together all the time. its v cute -everybody thinks hes attractive but nobody wants to be his friend - :'( -pushes the boundaries of fashion. likes to wear sunglasses indoors but takes them off when he's outside He only bought two new things after the Rebellion fall, gloves to cover the marks of his shackles. The frigid cuffs leaving marks deep into his fur, wounds he know would never heal both mentally and physically. Tired and drained, his wings carried him to the floes as if a magnetic pull guided him. A catalyst for ice energy, he had been forever careful of his home element. he had been sure to steer clear of his unstable territory, Born on a energetic fault within the snowsquall tundra , now the constant ebb of energy seemed to be pulling him closer, calling him home. Plaguebringer knew it had never crossed Siali's mind to leave Clan Rosaleia, nor Phamtoms ever easing presence. Never once guessing he would be be pulled between loyalty to his friends, Siali for once thought he'd achieved peace. Revelation only plunging his paranoia further. He wasn't truly safe here, was he ever? How long had this been planned? Was his dream always a permanent lie? He was not quick to welcome himself into the ranks of the Benet.
