How do you mess up so badly, that you snuff out the life of the one you're trying to heal?
But...
It's not your fault, is it.
Something else was there, another factor.
Your talent, your skill... Sullied, in an instant...
What happened?

After his work came to an end, Dafel had only one option left.
Run.
Run from everything he ever knew.

A healer by trade, Dafel offered quite a lot when he first arrived, though he refused to use magic, not anymore. It's unfortunate, really, as he was quite brilliant with it. With a wave, all wounds and grievances are stitched up and like new, as if they'd never been there. But no, no, he won't allow himself to use it.
Instead, Dafel resorts to the traditional method of healing - bandages, stitches, herbs and tonics... No magic, even if all of the other healers still used it freely, though not as effectively.

He almost... fears it. He fears nearly all magic, now, and not a word has been able to be pried from him about it.
Perhaps no one will ever know what happened to make him so afraid to use his gift.
