WIP More often than not one will find Dash tucked into the library snout deep in his studies. He has dedicated himself to finding a solution to the ever growing threat of the Shade. In fact, he is so impassioned about it that it consumes most of his life. When it comes to the Shade he can be downright reckless with his own life. The founders and his mate have had to set restrictions on him in order to keep him out of trouble. He takes these restrictions with a grain of salt and continues on with his research. Though, in all reality he’s very level headed even if it doesn’t seem it with his rash search for knowledge. Before the clan he had faced many a hardship, which taught him that not every drake is to be trusted. It is because of this that he is more willing than most to agree to aggression. An odd trait for a gentle librarian that otherwise would wish nothing more than peace. This fighting spirit was born from a need to survive and a knowledge of what the world is really like beyond the haven of the clan’s territory. It was during that time before the clan that Dash developed a phobia of all things unliving. It is a fear that can usher the otherwise calm Wildclaw into a fit of hysterics so severe that he has passed out from it. He refuses to speak of its cause. Many assume it was the event that caused his fear that also caused a strange personality quirk with the librarian. Dash can be excitable one moment and the next frighteningly serious. The wicked look that washes over his face in those moments can leave any that witness this sudden and odd change in behavior confused and unnerved. He never lets that look sit for too long and never explains its meaning. Every effort to understand it has been rebuffed, even by his precious family. Work In Progress An aged envelop is discovered behind a hidden panel in Dash’s library office. Upon its front is scrawled the message: To my children. Do not let your mother see this! Within is a handwritten message from Librarian Dash. I know one of you three found this letter, clever as you all are. Please do not let your mother see it. I cannot bear to think of her hurt by its contents; by the confession I would tell you in the hopes you might one day be able to forgive your foolish father. I fear I might have made a terrible mistake. I have allowed Cathair’s twisted message to override my common sense and as a result I have wronged so very many. I have wrought destruction on every drake I've ever met, all of the clans I've befriended. Worst of all I have brought this misery upon my own clan. It all seemed so logical in my youth; everything he said, what he promised, it all made perfect sense back then. --Please remember the phrase "If it works, use it." Dash has one nest brother and one nest sister. |
