This project would be truly incomplete with out Prince Lir, adopted son of King Haggard, who falls in love with Amalthea. Unlike his father, Lir is of noble character, full of bravado and honor...and obsessed with winning the Lady's heart. He even went so far as to give his life before the Red Bull to save hers. After she is transformed back into a Unicorn, Amalthea revives him even though his love for her would never be realized.

When I first introduced this project, Prince Lir was one of the first characters I was asked if I was doing. In fact, it wasn't until several requests for him and I realized just how big this project was getting that I decded to include him.

After being settled on a Skydancer because his build is similar to Haggards, I agreed with other fans that an Imperial set him apart and represented his character much better. Of course I kept his costume similar to the King's.
