Ralof is a quiet, shy dragon who doesn't like to say much, content to go with the scraps if he must. Around those he doesn't know well, he is near silent, only speaking when asked a direct question. He is honest and kind, as well as loyal to a fault. Those he loves will know that he would risk his life to save them.

However, he can be incredibly jealous. When he first realised that he was developing a crush on Dreamwalker - a fellow male Imperial, no less! - he noticed that the other dragon had been spending a lot of time with Thistle. Thistle was lovely and kind, but that didn't stop the sharp pang of jealousy that Ralof always felt whenever he saw the two of them together. And then when he'd discovered them nesting together... It wasn't so much jealousy as physical pain that he felt. After the eggs had hatched, he watched Thistle and Dreamwalker grow distant and so he had taken his moment to approach, scales twitching with anxiety. It had gone well, but now the two of them are dancing around the issue of feelings, of the taboo nature of their relationship if they chose to pursue one. Their clan was open-minded, and Thistle and Luneria would give a tongue lashing to anyone who decided that dragons couldn't be who they wanted to be. Ralof just had to hope that if anything did happen between him and Dreamwalker, those females would be on their side.

Ralof paced the clearing he had found in a small forest, his heart pounding in time with each step. He had invited another dragon, Dreamwalker, to spend the evening with him, and was anticipating the arrival of the Imperial. From what he could tell Dreamwalker was running late, but he was patient. He knew the dragon to be busy, and also knew that he was pacing only because he was so looking forward to seeing Dreamwalker.

In an effort to calm himself down, Ralof ceased his walking to lie down instead. He closed his eyes, drawing in deep breathes of the cool night air to slow down his rapidly beating heart. Doing such relaxed him, but it relaxed him to such a point that he felt drowsy. Ralof struggled against the oncoming sleep, but in the end sleep won out and Ralof found himself in a dreamland.

He wasn’t aware it was a dream, as most aren’t, and he smiled at finding Dreamwalker in front of him. “I would have waited all night for you,” Ralof said. Dreamwalker didn’t respond, but instead brushed his head against him. The motion took Ralof by surprise, the two never having expressed their emotions so openly, but he wasn’t about to turn Dreamwalker down. He brushed against the other dragon in response. For some time the two remained quiet, simply enjoying the company of one another. Ralof couldn’t take his eyes away from Dreamwalker except for a strange sight. For a very brief moment there appeared to be two Dreamwalker’s. Ralof looked to the second one, and when he did so the first disappeared.

“I’m sorry I’m late,” the second Dreamwalker said. “I made it after all.”

Ralof felt his confusion lifting, forgetting about the first Dreamwalker. To him it didn’t matter which form of Dreamwalker was with him. “Late? You were here the entire time. Can we nuzzle some more?” He asked. When Dreamwalker agreed with a nod of his head, Ralof felt his spirits soar. Even if it was only a dream, it was one of the sweetest dreams he had ever had.
