Dreamwalker got his name from the ability that he had developed not long after he hatched; he can travel through the dreams of others. At first, he couldn't control it and would often end up giving other dragons nightmares because he couldn't control the way he changed and shaped their dreams. It made him pull away from his first clan until he left.

For a long time, he merely wandered, learning to control his power, until he met Thistle. She invited him in and made him feel welcome. Slowly, Dreamwalker began to develop feelings for Thistle, even giving her her first clutch, but she moved on after the eggs hatched, leaving him alone again.

A young dragon approached him shyly not long after, offering to show him around the lair. Too polite to deny a tour that he'd already had, Dreamwalker agreed. The young dragon had seemed excited and introduced himself as Ralof.

Since then, Ralof has hardly left Dreamwalker's side, even inching closer to him in the night until they slept almost side by side. There was something between the two of them, even if Dreamwalker didn't want to put a name to it just yet. Whatever it was, it was sweet, and made him... happy.

It was a dark, cloudy night that Dreamwalker found himself moving through a series of trees. He had promised to meet Ralof in a little clearing, where the two of them could be alone, and was running late. His steps were nimble, his body moving easily between and around the trees, and soon he broke free into the clearing. He easily found Ralof, and began approaching the other dragon, but he soon paused. The Imperial was lying on the forest floor, his head lowered against his claws. His sides moved in and out, indicating the steady breathing of someone fast asleep. It seemed Ralof had fallen asleep while waiting for him.

Not the least bit offended, since Dreamwalker knew that he had been running late, he closed the gap between the two of them and laid his frame beside Ralof. His eyes closed, and he soon found himself falling asleep as well. It wasn’t long before Dreamwalker found himself in a dream. Dreams were his area of expertise. They were quite familiar to him, and easy for him to distinguish from the waking world. Looking around the dreamscape, he found in the cloudy distance two dragons. One appeared to be Ralof and the other… he blinked in surprise. The other dragon was himself. Dreamwalker amended his earlier assumption. He wasn’t just in a dream, but he was inside Ralof’s dream.

He watched as Ralof and the dream version of himself engaged with one another. The two nuzzled some, bumping their heads against each other. Oddly enough, the real Dreamwalker found himself growing annoyed. He stepped closer to the two, and when Ralof caught sight of him, the dream version of Dreamwalker disappeared in the way that dreams sometimes do. Ralof looked to be confused, and so Dreamwalker spoke up. “I’m sorry I’m late. I made it after all.”

“Late?” Ralof repeated. “You were here the entire time. Can we nuzzle some more?”

Dreamwalker did not hesitate in giving his response. He nodded his head, and then brushed against Ralof’s. The other dragon gave a happy sigh, and Dreamwalker could not help but feel happy as well. After giving so many dragons nightmares before, it was nice to give a good dream to Ralof.
