______ Hastur grew up in a cult-like Wind-only flight that held practices much more barbaric than one would expect from the Windsinger's following. They believed that their deity was the most wise and most deserving of ownership of Sornieth, and held no respect for those that did not agree. Destroying weak hatchlings, sacrifices, using exaltation as a punishment, and executions of any non-Wind dragon that may cross their path were all in a normal day's work. Hastur saw many of his friends and family members killed or banished for minuscule crimes. One night during his guard shift he took to the air and never looked back. Ever since, he has held massive contempt for all of the gods and seeks to take away their power over Sornieth, removing elemental affiliation from dragon kind completely. It's an ambitious goal, to say the least, but Hastur is an ambitious dragon. He arrived at Caladrius bruised and storm-battered, claiming to be an ambassador come to survey the realm of the Arcanist. Not a soul believed him, but he was not the first or the last liar welcomed into that vagabond city. He still steadily holds his facade of faith to the Windsinger.

______ Whether it's a desire to avoid more tragedy or just another part of his plan, Hastur prefers to stay detached from the other dragons of Caladrius. The natural extroversion of his species seems to have completely skipped over him. From day one he only tolerated those he worked directly under, Aralucien and Duerdine. Not even Duerdine's renowned motherly nature could get him to warm up. That is, until he met Auxentius. The pretty young Skydancer had a way of coaxing Hastur out of his apathy without being too nosy, and Hastur quickly became addicted to him, though it took a long time for him to admit it. Auxentius remains the only one who truly knows him, and there's no doubt that Hastur's love is genuine. The only question is whether that love can keep him from exacting his revenge on the gods...
