atheris' Clan

At the very edge of the Crystalspine Reaches, right where pink stone meets the star-dotted Strand, a small yet lively city rests. Dragons work ceaselessly among intricate architecture carved into the rosy mountainside. Few were born there; most have nowhere else to go. This is Caladrius, the clan of vagabonds. The city was founded by two notorious traitors looking for a new life, and remains filled to the brim with criminals, many reformed and some... not.

Among these dragons stands Aralucien, the recognizable Imperial leader of outcasts. Though, really, it is his second–the pearlcatcher Hastur–that does most of the leading. He is known for negotiating an alliance with the Maren that roam the shorelines, and for staving off the hostile Talonok endlessly advancing on the city.

At first glance, this clan of second chances is a diamond in the rough, a pure fresh start. But there is more behind Caladrius than meets the eye–years ago, the progenitor Darenthal was mysteriously murdered, and her mate Raza fled the clan soon after, fearing for his own life. Aralucien's ceaseless search for the murderer continues to this day. What's more, Hastur seeks vengeance against the gods who he believes have wronged dragonkind. A storm is brewing for the clan of vagabonds.
