Python

Python was born into the Earth flight and immediately left as soon as he was able to catch the breeze under his wings. He did not know how to get to the Windswept Plateau, but asked many different clans for directions, finally making his way across the Sea.

When he reached the Windswept Plateau, he spent hours asking each clan he could find if they were welcoming strangers. Most were not, apologetically, and eventually he was directed to the Wide Sky clan. Windracer was glad to accept him as one of their own. He now spends his time riding the breezes above the Zephyr Steppes, strengthening his feathered wings and trying to prove himself as a true Wind dragon despite the color of his eyes and his origin. He doesn't realize that he's already succeeded.

Python has had multiple children by many different mates, but none of them have been his life partners; it's just that various dragons wanted children, and he was willing to assist them. Skydust has made eyes at him a few times since she's woken up, but her lackluster efforts went unreciprocated. As it turned out, Python was suffering from a horrible crush on Helios, one of the two mated and non-polyamorous clan leaders, which left him in a quite awkward position.

Fortunately, once his clan leaders realized that - and it did take them quite some time to do so - they sent him to a dating show, where he met a loyal, stoic knight named Pelagorn, who was in search of a new life's purpose, a new Charge to guard, and, additionally, for, perhaps, someone to love. Python was the perfect focus for both goals, and at the end of the week, the two found themselves absolutely smitten with one another. This was a relief for everyone involved; Python got a new partner to care for him, and he no longer had an extraordinarily uncomfortable friendship-harming crush on his very straight clan leader.

Python is capable of using six types of magic: Earth, of course, along with Water, Lightning, Ice, Fire, and a bit of Light. He's working on the last one, and will go for plague magic after that. He is no longer attempting to learn wind magic, since he knows it won't listen. But it's okay if it doesn't! He doesn't need to talk to the wind when he has Pelagorn.

Python found Hazine's egg on the beach near his home, when he was on a walk. Her egg was being eaten by a shadow serpent, and he acted quickly, attacking the invasive snake and killing it. He had to remove the egg from within the serpent's body when the fight was over.
