Blaine is an unusual-looking Ridgeback, being extremely tall and thin, in addition to scrawny and weak, choosing the path of magic over brute force compared to most Ridgebacks.

She is... obsessive, to say the least, almost always blathering about the same three things: Her interest in bugs, her looks, or her love for The Tidelord. In fact, she is so patriotic about her home element that most wonder how she ended up in a Plague clan. Some joke that she was kicked out of her old home for being too annoying, but the truth is that Blaine departed from The Sea of a Thousand Currents to experience other cultures..

She often frets over her appearance and frequently grinds her long nose horn against a rock the second it starts to look too long. Because of this obsessive grooming, Blaine's horn is often a blunt nub, much rounder than a regular Ridgeback's (this also leaves her with only her claws and spines to defend herself), but is otherwise indistinguishable from a female's horn.

Blaine spends most of her time educating younger dragons about the Water flight and its' history (Behemoth especially), or observing and collecting the various forms of insect life on Sornieth with Santiago and scolding the insectivores of the clan for "ruining their collection" (which possibly explains the low number of permanent Skydancer, Fae, and Spiral residents within the clan).
