Powerful, prideful, vigilant

This guardian was invited to the Empyreal clan almost immediately after its formation, and he's become one of its most important members. His sinister markings and great size distinguish him from the rest of the clan, and he's every bit as strong as he looks. Adair serves as their muscle, swatting aside invaders or competitors with ease. When he's not in the line of duty, he's lavished with attention and respect.

His dimensions make confronting smaller foes difficult. In those cases, his assistant Freya handles it. Enemies that snipe at him from tight spaces usually don't expect a nocturne to rocket into their hiding place.

Adair looks vicious, but he actually prefers peace over conflict. He supports trying diplomacy before escalating to a fight. War is inconvenient for his personal life, and he'd rather avoid it. If it ultimately comes to violence, though, he doesn't hesitate to do his duty. He prefers a fast and decisive approach.
