"The woods are lovely, dark and deep. But I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep."

I can't get to sleep. I think about the implications of diving in too deep and possibly the complications. Especially at night I worry over situations I know we'll be alright... perhaps it's just imagination.

I try and tell Yasmine that I can't sleep. She tells me to listen to the life around us. That it would soothe me to sleep. It doesn't. I must have too much on my mind. The new 'dancer keeps my mind wake I guess. Matiz. He's nice. Yasmine tells me to stay away from him. Too many complications. I hope he'll be okay. No. I'm sure he will. We will.

Day after day it reappears. Night after night my heartbeat shows the fear. Ghosts appear and fade away only to come back another day. Alone between the sheets... only brings exasperation. It's time to walk the streets. Smell the desperation.

I tend my herbs and flowers for Morana. Day in and day out. I watch Matiz. He always seems frightened, even if he doesn't show it. He seems to come and go, like I use to. Fading away. So annoying. I wish he would just stay. My part of the lair is so lonely without him. I go for walks to clear my mind.

At least there's pretty lights and though there's little variation. It nullifies the night from overkill. Especially at night I worry over situations that I know will be alright. It's just overkill. Day after day it reappears. Night after night my heartbeat shows the fear. Ghosts appear and fade away...

He's back. I describe how the fireworks lit up the night sky to the point where it looked like day. There were so many colors. It was almost too much. Too overwhelming. But I still worry when he fades away. He doesn't tell me where he goes. He still seems to be that small scared hatchling sometimes. But I smile because I know everything will be alright. My ghost fades away, but he always comes back to me. But for now I have my herbs and flowers. Trees and garden.
