Perhaps it seems strange that someone who spent her youth scouring pitch-black tunnels now resides in an open-air affair in the realm of Light. Perhaps not, considering much of Rime's family hails from the Hewn City. Growing up, Rime set herself apart from her siblings by way of her technical and precise fighting style. Efficiency lent itself easily to her natural grace and poise, and she has honed her skills into what is easily an art form. She has learned so much from her trips into the black crypts beneath Dragonhome, and knows she will be able to apply it to life anywhere: What can be gleaned from the sounds of unseen creatures, how best to end that particular type of construct, which quieting rites work best on those restless spirits, and so much more. And fueled with stories from her mothers and her uncle about what horrors might lurk in the Hewn City and other, shadier aspects of Light, she is ready to take up the challenge of returning to her ancestral home and keeping a new clan safe from unspeakable horrors. As far as natural weapons go, of course Rime bears two knife-sharp talons. However, she also sports a set of spines laced with silver metal, imbued with earth magics while they were still growing in and soft. This grants her an edge over the supernatural, as silver is known to burn through some of the toughest foes, regardless of how incorporeal they may be. Fighting, however, is not the be-all, end-all of life. While she is very confident of her skills when her life is on the line, in more social aspects Rime feels out of her depth. When startled, she has a marked stutter, and will often stop talking altogether if she feels especially embarrassed, even mid-sentence. She keeps mostly to herself in large gatherings, and is known to just leave if she feels overwhelmed. Rime frequently has strong opinions about things, but it is difficult for her to voice them easily, especially if people are watching her expectantly. She quite enjoys the sound of the sea and also playing board games on rainy afternoons. Written by ixris |
