Biography

Visit Bak'laag's Charge!

He / Him / His | Guardian of the Chosen | Otherworldly Naming
"Buk buk buk!"

Punkin and Mitch's son, and a grandson of the progenators. He was the first grandchild to stay longterm with the clan, blessed with iridescence against the usual breeding odds.

Bak'laag has a very curious Charge, one that to first glance seems ever-shifting. Some dragons outside the clan blame it on him being born a Mirror, but Bak'laag knows better.

He meets passing dragons and he knows. He knows they are vital to some mission, some very important mission that he cannot adequately explain. He takes them under his wing and makes sure their stay at the Intersection is pleasant, and each one he meets is either nameless or unsatisfied with their current moniker.

The names he gives are very strange, but all the dragons he has named love them for their own reasons. And so they stay at the Intersection, a little sect within the clan: Bak'laag's Charge, the dragons he named and now protects. (Not that there's typically much to protect against, in the largely egalitarian and easygoing clan, but it's the thought that counts.) They keep to each other for the most part, studying together, training together, raising hatchlings together.

But Bak'laag knows they will not stay forever, and the dragons of his Charge know it, too. When Bak'laag senses that a particular dragon needs to leave the Intersection, usually in service of the Lightweaver, they go gladly, knowing that though their paths may never cross again, they are a member of Bak'laag's Charge and have important business in the world. Their names command it.
