TOPIC | The Dragons of Bak'laag's Charge

I am. Very bad. At keeping up with my games backlog. Very, very bad. I'm eternally distractable and forget to pick games back up even when I really really wanna play them! A couple of years ago I hatched this lucky dude - he inherited a gem gene against a treasure gene - and noticed he bore a striking resemblance to the Backloggery's mascot, Bak'laag. So, further, I had an idea to try and keep myself accountable to the Backloggery while still enjoying Flight Rising: Backloggery Dragons! These are dragons that represent whatever games I happen to be playing, sitting in my lair and eating my food until I sit down and finish them. Well, with the Hibernal Den update, I actually have the space to do that again! So let's go! Here I will be showcasing past and present Backloggy Dragons, as well as keeping track of my gaming habits and my overall Backloggery score. Can I get a positive Progress Index score for the first time since I started tracking my backlog?! Let's find out! I'm not entirely sure what forum this would be best suited for, but I'm putting it in Dragon Share for the time being, since I am sharing the Backloggery Dragons.

Let's find out!

I'm not entirely sure what forum this would be best suited for, but I'm putting it in Dragon Share for the time being, since I am sharing the Backloggery Dragons.

Baseline rules:
  • A Backloggery Dragon must be purchased for every new game I start that takes more than one session to Beat or Complete*. I will probably purchase ones for games that only take one session anyway, because it's fun to have a record!
  • Backloggery Dragons don't need to be purchased for null/endless games.
  • Backloggery Dragons are generally for fodder price when first purchased, but if I feel like paying a bit more, that's fine. These aren't meant to be fandragons that exactly match the games they're representing: just ones that happened to have the right sort of vibe to me, reminding me of the game or a character in it.
  • Backloggery Dragons can and probably will be bred. Making fodder is one way they can earn their keep!
  • Once I've completed a Backloggery Dragon's goal, they will generally be levelled and exalted. If you want one, please reserve it while I'm playing!
  • I'll usually get a different dragon for Completing a game after I Beat it, but this is not a hard and fast rule.
  • Large DLC gets its own separate dragon.

*A note on Backloggery terminology:
"Beating" the game means coming to some kind of ending. Usually this means a viewing of the credits. "Completing" the game means getting 100% completion. Mastering a game is a challenge run of some kind, like a speedrun or playing a game without an important item.

I will often go for 'soft Completes,' meaning getting 100% completion of things I feel are reasonable, or finishing the game on the hardest difficulty setting I'm interested in challenging. These count as Completes to me for my own records.

The Progress Index is all your new games (which count against the score) combined with any games Beaten, Completed, or Mastered (which count as positive points).
