Zurina grew up in the woods, raised by the animals that lived there, away from dragon society. Indeed, she grew to fear society, with their loud noises, big gatherings, and destruction of her own home. But the more she observed, the more she noticed the good things. Cooperation, mainly, the fact that no one was left behind and everyone was cared for. While she had no desire to truly join them, she did decide she (and her forest family) could learn something from them, and so she opted to join their expedition to the mountaintop to learn more about their society.
