Formally addressed on parchment as Tavárëa, this richly-colored Imperial has found her calling in clan Anorvon as a seer, of sorts. More practically, she performs card spreads and paw-readings for curious hatchlings and passing travelers, but her uncanny ability to predict future events prompted Lein and the founders to give her an official title. She carries herself in a confident air that assures those she converses with that she knows of what she speaks. Her manner of speech is smooth and flourishing, and she readily gives a kind smile or a gentle laugh. She is something the others describe as a "premature grandmother." Though she is young, by other breed's standards, she exudes a sense of safety and wisdom. Perhaps it is simply her personality, or the thick magic settled around her shop, but it is not uncommon for there to be a couple lingerers, sharing stories or comfortable silence. She has a plate of cookies on her front counter, free for anyone to take, that give the air the immediately comforting scent of fresh-baked goods, and always seem to be warm, no matter how late they are retrieved. She and Nimlote are particularly close. They share a twinkle in their eyes, and seem to have a mode of nonverbal communication that no one has been able to figure out. Often one stays for a late tea at the others' residence, or accompanies on a stroll through the verdant glades around the clan's woodland. F A M I L I A R This bird is particularly clumsy. It crashed through Tavárëa's window unexpectedly on an otherwise calm morning, crowing loudly. Likely it was the loser of a tussle with a larger bird, and the resulting injuries left its chest-eye blinded and one wing's bones shattered. Though the seer and Nim tried to set the wing and care for its healing, it was left crippled. It has adopted Tavárëa, or, perhaps, Tavárëa has adopted it, but nevertheless it has remained in or close to her residence. Though it can no longer fly reliably, its legs remain fully functional and it seems to still possess the dynamism of youth and it hops across tables and windowsills, more tumbles and trips than steps. It particularly enjoys perching on its rescuer's antlers when she runs errands, thrilled to have the soaring winds in its feathers again. |
