Nim is the clan witch, though she prefers the term 'apothecary'. Out of the clan's two Keepers, she was instilled with a deep sense of duty from a young age. Her upbringing refused her the tendency of her breed to consider themselves higher than other dragons and be largely independent, and she is very much an extrovert, thriving off her interactions and relationships with others. She could not shake her interest into the lives of other dragons in the lair, so falling into the role of communal healer was a good opportunity to sate her curiosity while doing so in a beneficial manner for those around her.

Her personal dwelling is also true to her breed; she takes advice from every dragon that visits her, and never dismisses a gift from anyone-- be it a flower picked by an admiring hatchling, a lumpy vase from a young dragon exploring professions, or a handmade necklace from a passing stranger, given in thanks for a warm cave and a cup of tea. She is usually the first through the day's hunting and gathering yields, picking out useful items and utilizing them to make various potions, salves, charms, and candles.

Just as her lair is, Nimlote herself is rather eclectic. Her paws are usually dusted with dried herbs or coated with wax, and always smell sweet of flowers and grasses. Her mane looks rather unkempt, though it shines with health and the hatchlings that run their claws through it claim it is tangle-free. Her Emerald Cave Jewel, Syl, keeps her company, and she speaks to him often as if he can understand what she is saying (some argue that his chirps in response indicate he can, though others believe it's just a conditioned response). Her manner of speech is smooth and flowing, and there is no one she doesn't get along with-- even the elusive and reserved Cevri can be seen fitting his head through her doorway to exchange some words. She is an excellent confidant, and her door is always open.

Cave Jewels are typically skittish, as they live deep in the stony recesses of the earth, and have no contact with non-cave-dwelling species. They are omnivores, eating whatever cave plant or smaller dweller they can find. Their bio-lumiescent light is similar to that which cave worms possess, but unlike their squishy neighbors, Cave Jewels are capable of dimming and brightening it at will; they use their back frills and tongue as hypnotic baits for small lizards and insects. They prefer the dark and the cold.

Syl is true to his species, and unfortunately for him, Nim's home is usually very bright and noisy. He prefers to keep to the cave that was considerately carved out for him to stay in during the day, and is usually found there, dozing. At night, when the outside world is more like home, he emerges to sit on a windowsill as a sort of watch, chirping to alert his landlady if anyone approaches, or catch insects that try to come in through the open glass panels. If a visitor stays late for tea, they may catch him clacking across the kitchen floor to ask Nim for supper, and the occasional quiet, curious youngling can tempt him from his home for a moment with a handful of moss.
