Biography

Roving male that settled down at The Cell after a great many months of travel. The thin red, membrane covering his body produces sticky tendrils that embed in his prey's skin.
Rank: Hunter, Infectionist
Mate:
Pesuto

10/27/16 First clutch born, three females. They were born with markings that resembled the Rot and Mad could not have been be any prouder.

11/07/16 All three girls had left the nesting grounds. Plagueghast found a mate in a large, ancient Plague clan while Azusa and Thana travelled together to a far off territory. Mad never once felt slighted by their leaving, for he had been a wanderer himself, and his kids only mirrored his adventurous soul.

11/12/16 Four hatchlings born. Pesuto and Mad were a prolific duo indeed. The Cell's most productive parents, Bonejack noted.

Spawn Subspecies

Spawnies always appear to have freshly bathed in violent conquests. Their origin is unknown, but popular theory is that they are a non-native species that conquered the trek to the heart of the plaguelands, just to prove it could be done. Modern specimens appear to share characteristics with the Contagion itself; they are covered by a thin membrane that occasionally produces delicate, twisting tendrils, which often slough off or transfer to their victims with direct physical contact. At a glance these are frequently mistaken for blood vessels. Infectious properties of the highest concentration are maintained within these. The tendrils have also developed a kind of microvilli, which may burrow into the victim’s skin if not washed away within a minutes, to create easy-access channels into the body. The result is an accelerated spread of unsavory afflictions. Although this may be considered a Spawnie’s most dangerous attribute, touching any part of this dragon will result in a wealth of misery.

This subspecies is most successful in a fire environment, in addition to its homeland. They may be carriers of any affliction known to the world, and take delight in spreading it in unpleasant ways.
