Styrax

Styrax loved his parent's mysterious word. There was so much to do and so much to learn. He quickly learned the truth behind the saying: "knowledge is power". Styrax recognized the potential for greatness for anyone who had knowledge. Instantly he was addicted and he dedicated his life to learning as much as he could, not just about history and geography, but also about dragons and their habits and past.

Much of his information is not gleaned from libraries or books. While he does read a lot and learn information that way, his favourite way to learn new information is through eavesdropping. A crowded pub, outside a window, lingering in a marketplace, there are so many ways to learn information and he utilizes them all. He is not outstanding and so blends into a crowd effortlessly. His dark fur also allows him to nearly disappear in the shadows.

Styrax doesn't use his information for little things. What he learns is precious and he is able to recognize that. So, he cares for it and keeps it close, only drawing from his bank when he has extreme necessity. Thereby, his knowledge base continues to grow without ever compromising his position.
